What is 썸남썸녀 (Ssum Nam Ssum Nyu)?

Hi, once you start living in South Korea and going to school, you will hear a lot of times people talking about 썸남썸녀 (Ssum Nam Ssum Nyu).
What does this mean?
This term has only been used very recently but everyone uses it very often.

썸남썸녀(Ssum Nam Ssum Nyu) means the person who you are in good terms with and has potential to be going out later.
Basically you are kind of in the middle of friendship and love.
The relationship is more romantic than just friends but you are not going out with the person yet.
The relationship itself is called 썸 (Ssum).
When you are referring to a guy you are in such relationship with, you call him 썸남 (Ssum Nam).
When referring to a girl, you call her 썸녀 (Ssum Nyu).
When you say you are in such relationship, you say 썸 (Ssum) 탄다, 썸 (Ssum) 타는 중이다.
The depth of this relationship can be little different by different people's point of view.
Usually you would expect no commitment from 썸남썸녀 (Ssum Nam Ssum Nyu) at this point.
Also, you use this word to only explain your relationship to someone else.
For example, you never ask your 썸남썸녀 (Ssum Nam Ssum Nyu), "썸 (Ssum) 탈래?" like how you would ask someone to go out with you.
